Yamane Seigan was born in 1952 and is a member of the Hagi Association of Ceramic Artists. He is self taught and works out of the Kousaian Kiln, which he opened in 1987.

This large yunomi or tea drinking vessel was made around 8 years ago but is unused. It comes with the wooden box, as shown, and Yamane’s impressed seal is to be found in the centre of four feet, although it isn’t very clear in the image above.
