Hiramatsu Yogetsu made this teabowl in the town of Kibi in the Arida District of Wakayama probably around 20 years ago. The town is now part of the larger conurbation of Aridagawa. I know nothing about the potter but was fascinated by the glaze. The potter’s signature can be seen on the unglazed stoneware body just outside the foot ring.
