Mizuno Juzan
was born in the Seto region in 1907 and his work is on permanent display in the Seto City Museum of Art, as well as Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He died in 1978 and it appears as if this chawan was made in the 1950s. The chawan doesn’t appear to have been used but the box has a few stains and the kiln seal as well as Mizuno san’s personal seal on the lid have faded, although can still be  seen.
