Uenaka Thuyoshi is a young Tanba potter, who was born in 1982. He began potting in 2001 but in the intervening years has gained a considerable reputation. This teabowl like the rest of his work is wood-fired for several days in an anagama style kiln. It comes with its original signed box, which you will notice has Roman lettering rather than the traditional Japanese script.
